Sherrie Alpert, M.S.

Sherrie Alpert earned her Master of Science degree in Speech and Hearing Science from The Pennsylvania State University, State College, Pennsylvania in 1980. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Queens College of the City University System of New York in June of 1979. Mrs. Alpert completed her graduate school externship at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York, and received her Certificate of Clinical Competence in July of 1982. After completing her Clinical Fellowship Year at the Lexington School for the Deaf in Jackson Heights, Queens, she continued to pursue her audiology career working for Perry A. Foote, ENT physician in Gainesville, Florida. Mrs. Alpert is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and a long-standing member of the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association.

Mrs. Alpert’s career as a compassionate and skilled clinical audiologist, centered around the fitting and servicing of hearing aids as co-owner of a private hearing aid dispensing practice for 22 years, and 13 years as a provider of hearing aid services in the same location in Boynton Beach, Florida. During this time, she also tested and fit hearing aids to the underprivileged in Palm Beach County, and was instrumental in raising funds for the Hearing Foundation located in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. Their primary mission was to provide hearing aids and hearing health services around the world, to those who could not afford it. Mrs. Alpert traveled to Mexico on one of these missions to offer hearing help to the impoverished hearing impaired in the various communities in the region.

Mrs. Alpert specializes in a range of services within the field of audiology, including the performance of comprehensive hearing evaluations involving tympanometry and video otoscopy. Her expertise extends to counseling patients on various options to enhance their personal hearing and communication abilities. Additionally, she offers guidance on selecting the most suitable hearing devices based on individual requirements and lifestyles. Her skills encompass the fitting of new hearing aids, providing strategies for successful usage, optimizing hearing health, and advanced programming for even the most challenging hearing impairments. She plays a pivotal role in guiding patients and their families through aural rehabilitation, aiming to achieve the best possible hearing outcomes. Her services also include the maintenance, adjustments, repairs, and programming of hearing aids. Furthermore, she excels in the adjustment and modification of ear molds and hearing aids to enhance both acoustic and physical comfort. In addressing tinnitus, she employs premium hearing aid technology as part of a comprehensive management approach.
